Complementing these hearty meals is a well-curated lineup of beverages, from classic Pepsi sodas to refreshingly sweet or unsweetened teas, all reasonably priced to keep your meal balanced and delightful. And don’t miss their house-baked Strawberry Cake, a sweet finale that delivers a light, fruity contrast to the smokiness left lingering on your palate.
Customer reviews consistently sing high praises for Cowboy's Barbecue’s quality and service. Angelia Garcia expresses heartfelt admiration for their professionalism and consistently fresh, flavorful food, declaring the experience “awesome” and “excellent.” Another diner, MC, notes that the smoky brisket and pork are so well-crafted they hardly need any sauce at all — a testament to the authentic Texas-style influence this Arkansas eatery confidently embraces. Glenn Sieracki highlights their ribs as “AWESOME” and raves about the generous portions of cowboy nachos, while Laura Jimenez appreciates the meal’s balanced seasoning and portion sizes that even leave you with leftovers.
True barbecue fans will appreciate the smoky infusion of every meat cut here, capturing the essence of slow-cooked tradition. While a minor suggestion from guests like OwlMomma92 advises clearer labeling of BBQ sauces and a slight reduction in salt on fries, these tweaks hardly detract from the overall experience. The friendly, attentive staff complements the flavorful food, creating an inviting atmosphere where locals and visitors alike feel welcomed.
Whether you're stopping by for a satisfying lunch or a comforting dinner, Cowboy's Barbecue promises a genuine slice of southern barbecue culture. The bold smokiness, generous portions, and warm hospitality come together to create a memorable meal that you’ll find yourself craving time and again.
Stopped here for lunch while visiting family. I have to say... Everything was awesome! This establishment is on point and is an excellent example for all!!! It warms my heart to give a true and great review. The staff was professional, kind and FAST & on point. Everything was brought to us fresh, fast and tasted excellent. I had portions for 2 people! Some of THE best bbq & sauce I've ever had (and I live in TX so I eat plenty lol). The peanut butter pie and cookies were excellent as well. We had a variety of meals... cheeseburger w/ mac & cheese, sliced brisket w/ beans, pulled pork dinner, combo dinner w/ shredded brisket & chicken w/ okra & fries. They have daily specials & offer a discount if you pay cash. Definitely check them out if you're passing through Batesville. You won't regret it!
Amazing BBQ! True BBQ needs NO Sauce & this place needs No Sauce. The smokiness infused in the Brisket & Pork is perfection (I’m from Texas & Love my Texas BBQ & this could be considered Honorary Texas BBQ). So excited to taste that I’d forgotten to take a photo &I had to stop eating to do just that. lol
Ribs were AWESOME. The sauce was amazing too. My buddy had the cowboy nachos and couldn't finish them there was so much!
I love the portion size of the meat. Ordered the pork plate which came wth beans and potato salad. Both very good. I added a bit more salt (better than overly salted). Toast could've gone longer, but maybe it's their way. I enjoyed the meal and had enough for another meal.
This restaurant had some good BBQ!! The only thing I have to say bad about them is that the BBQ sauce bottles need to be labeled so you know if they are hot or original.. The fires have way to much salt on them maybe cut back on the salt!! Other then that I say it's not a bad places to eat!!
This was my first time dining in this restaurant. The staff was very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. We received our food, hot, fresh and fast. My sandwich was a Jumbo pulled pork and man it was yummy. Their BBQ Sauce is absolutely delicious as well as the baked beans and fried okra. I got nice sized portions and the prices were very reasonable. Great little restaurant.
This was our first visit. The beef brisket was superb! The bbq sauce was delicious . Y'all it was finger licking good.
